its great thorin mentioned iM's kpr stat, cause when he was on the uptick near end of last year, i saw the 0.7 kpr and was hopefull, one of the big reasons why i dont think frozen will ever enter superstar status is because he doesnt produce consistently 0.75Kpr +, his rating is dpr reliant especially last year, this year its more on kast cause he still having high ratings with lower kpr then usual its weird how players like coldzera, k0nfig have such high kpr but their rating is lower then usual for such high kpr

Yeah i dont get why its difficult for people to hear a teams run get called a fluke. The way I see it is, its the difference between the Cloud 9 Boston run and the ENCE 2019 Katowice run. Two surprise out of nowhere runs, sure ENCE didn't win but that aside they had same play off path of facing the top 3 teams in sequence difference asside from not winning is C9 never did anything after that while ENCE went on to be a consistent playoff and semi team that while they didnt win often still could have their name tossed in the ring as a tornament contender thus proving Katowice wasnt a fluke

I don't understand what more this Navi lineup needs to do for people to stop talking shit about them. They were semifinalists in last Blast World Final, then topped the group in Blast Spring Groups, won the major, and came second in Blast Spring final to end the season. Other than Katowice and the 2 post major hangover events, they always performed. People are way too emotionally attached to big, impactful names, and heavily undervalue these guys because they're new to tier 1. But they're playing and beating these established Tier 1 players every event they play. Pimp was talking about G2 that they're this big established team better and on a way higher pedestal than the current iteration of Navi, but G2 doesn't even know how it feels to beat this Navi, yes, legends like Niko and Monesy that people drool when they talk about them, that come up in every single top 1, top 3, top 5 players lists, this "budget Navi lineup" wiped the floor with them every time they met them. Same with the second best CIS team last event, again, players that everyone heavily values, legends like Electronic, Jame, this "budget" Navi lineup mopped the floor with them. There's a huge lack of respect for jL, iM and w0nderful because they're new to tier 1, but they're all making a name for themselves in real time, with every event they play. It's also worth noting that it's very intellectually dishonest to give full credit to Blade and Aleksi for the results Navi has, this only serves as a crutch for the previously mentioned rethoric in order to justify Navi's results. I also think that the discussion about roster changes is super emotional and surface-level. This is business, where decisions are based on logic and concrete evidence, not an Andrew Tate bootcamp or a self-help seminar. I'm referring to Pimp's comments about Navi needing changes to "keep up with everyone else and keeping ahead of the curve". That's not how it works. Other than that, the show was entertaining, but that's all it is, entertainment.

I personally find it fascinating how hard recency bias hits for most people. s1mple, the best to ever do it, was speaking about taking a break in the end of 2022 already, understandably with that circumstances. Then he does it a year later and after a couple of months most in the scene don't really talk about him even that much anymore, at least in the matter of joining possible new teams. If s1mple returns for real, he will get back to it no questions asked, teams would be naive to not inquire about him.

Ya'll sleeping on jL a bit. In Big Events this year, he's rated higher than spinx, flamez, nertz and w0nderful. He's also a TOP-3 arena player this year just behind m0nesy and donk.

I just love listening to pimp! I like that he brought up the budgeting of teams which I can imagine that a majority of fans are completely oblivious to. But on that point even if a team is making good money on a gamble they were kinda forced into, now that they've shown that atleast blade's system works and aleksi seems to have adapted well to that system, is it enough for an org like navi that has been on top and atleast very relevant in all iterations of the game? Anyways love the show! Easily my new favorite cs podcast, keep it up! PS Duncan is goated.

Because of the blur that was the pandemic, I can't remember why 6+ man rosters aren't a thing. I remember it didn't work for Astralis and Vitality, but wouldn't adding S1mple to the roster as the 6th player, and slowly integrating him into a few maps at a time just solve any issues? Kinda like what Vitality was doing with Nivera.
